Usage
English translation
The earliest religion is not pantheism and not polytheism. Pantheism means that the one spirit fills the whole universe, like the soul living in the body. The earliest religion considered the body and the soul as one. Polytheism means a number of spirits, all of whom are abstract, not concrete, living in formless world, assisting the universe/ everything in an indirect way. The earliest religion says that spirits and objects exist as one, spirits residing immediately in every object and thing. (Werzner)
